There are some parts of the laundry process that will take time and this can not be avoided, but some of the tips we can share with you should help sell out the time you spend each week dealing with the dirty laundry, always assuming that you can not find person else to do it for you! Here are our top ten tips:

  1. The first tip is to sort your clothes into a pile of whites, and other piles of similar colors. Wash captivating clothes together and dark clothes together. This will help retain the captivating colors and help keep your whites, white.
  2. For easily dirty whites, particularly socks or white shirt cuffs and collars, soak the items with a stain dismissal or some detergent before washing them in the machine.
  3. Avoid overloading your washing machine. The cleaning process works straight through the clothes captivating nearby in the drum and if your clothes are packed in too tightly, you may be disappointed with the results.
  4. Use a favorable detergent. There are a number of good powders and liquids available, both biological and non-biological for those with more sensitive skin, that will produce excellent results at low temperatures. Use a 30 degree wash if potential as it will save vigor so is good for your pocket and the environment.
  5. If you have the space, hand your clothes out to dry rather than using a tumble drier. For shirts, hang them level onto hangers which is not only a good way to dry them, but will also make the easier to iron.
  6. If you are using a tumble drier, hang your shirts on a hanger as soon as the drying cycle is unblemished and the shirt is still warm. With some garments, this may mean you do not need to iron them at all.
  7. Ironing a shirt when it is still slightly damp easily makes it easier to iron, and the ironing will help the drying process. Any residual moisture can dry as the shirt hangs on it's hanger.
  8. As with washing machines, tumble driers do not work well if overfilled. They need space to let the warm air circulate and dry the clothes.
  9. Use a good capability steam iron. It will get your clothes neatly pressed and is quicker than a non steam iron in removing difficult creases.
  10. Once ironed, give your clothes sufficient room in the wardrobe so that they stay in pristine condition until you are ready to ware them.
